Good things

Sometimes they come out of the blue, knock you on the side of the head, leave you with a vacant grin, an emptiness born of relief, wondering why life just keeps getting more complicated, whether it's okay to leave work at 2 o'clock to source a beer by the seaside, and the knowledge that this too shall pass.

A leaf of all colors plays
a golden string fiddle
to a double-e waterfall over my back
Comic book colors on a violin river
crying Leonardo words
from out a silk trombone
I rang a silent bell
beneath a shower of pearls
in the eagle wing palace
of the Queen Chinee

Dude, you got a case of the Mondays on a Friday! OK, no more references to that movie.

When was it NOT OK to leave work at 2PM to source a beer, that too by the seaside?

If not now, when?

Yeah, ‘we must live our lives... always thinking the moment has arrived’ but...all this for beer! As that fount of wisdom, friend Phoebe Buffet would say, Guinness-beer... potato-potatoe. Pfft!

well yeah, but as the self-same source also declares, "i'm a flake, i'll say anything."

revealed:
caveat emptor -- my weekend also involved extra-long office hours, time spent staring at 3-year old data, and, yes, rain.

well, i've only seen a handful of episodes, and the only reason i knew that remark about 'flaky' was that just this week i had to zip through a few episodes, looking for a sequence someone recommended i use in class.

scouty-touty:
what, you stinking? running short on the chemicals, eh?

and stella? naah. not unless she's blue.

nifty work on the tab-keeping, btw.

revealed:
:-D
