Pennsive

Overheard, one end of a telephone conversation:

- Yes, he's at the University of Pennsylvania right now.
- Yes, it's in Philadelphia.
- Yes, it's a real university.

I think I can guess at the first two questions.

Falstaff: I know you're from Penn and all but you shouldn't take it that personally. I have met people over the last couple of months who have heard of neither Harvard nor Oxford. (So, what do they teach at Oxford, I am asked. Ummm?!)

based on context, i'd guess the first was "what is your son doing now?" and the second, "is that in philadelphia?"

falsie:

True story: there was a day-care/kindergarten outside my place in Bombay that was called "Harvard Academy".

Rahul: Philadelphia is an illusion caused by a lack of New York.

"Upenndranath" = :D
