Trying

Isn't it strange?

You spend all your time trying to buy money.
And then you spend your money trying to buy time.

**

With no loving in our souls
And no money in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie,
You can't say we never tried

Indeed. And what do we have to show at the end of it all? Neither time nor money.

Ugh.

I wonder if Mick ever looked for money in his other coats. I mean, he went to LSE for a full year on scholarship! But what a great song.

I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch,
He said to me, you must not ask for so much.
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door,
She cried to me, hey, why not ask for more?

It's the way of the world. Perhaps people should just take some time off from their busy lives. I think there's a fear of that.
