Fuel me once...

From today's NYT: The demand for fuel-efficient cars is so heavy that the production lines aren't being able to keep up. “This seismic shift in the marketplace has definitely taken us and everybody else by surprise,” said George Pipas, Ford’s market analyst. No shit, Sherlock!

No one saw this coming??

how fuel efficient are vespas? the traditional type. i want one. imagine me zipping around town in a banana-colored one, with green edges. cute no? so totally hipster!

yes, very cute. i think vespas have some models that go as high as 80 mpg.

as for your other question, i'm torn between 'performance anxiety' and 'the heebie-jeebies'. more analysis required.
