Howdy Mister! About your last post, the 24-hour media coverage of, and people's reaction to, the attack on Bombay has left me feeling more cynical than I usually am. Wonders never cease, eh?
In an article a couple of days ago, I think it was Amitava Ghosh who said that by constantly referring to this attack as India's 9/11, the media is creating a scenario that calls for a response that is similar in nature and scope to that of the US government. I think even such a suggestion is ridiculous. As ridiculous, in fact, as that half-wit Simi Garewal, who appeared on a show on NDTV and demanded the carpet-bombing of a part of Pakistan.
